Samba technology represents the first piezo-based drop-on-demand inkjet technology specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements for high-quality and high-speed single-pass inkjet graphics printing and materials deposition applications.
How Samba Technology Works
The key to the Samba print bar is Fujifilm Dimatix's proprietary silicon MEMS technology with integrated basic electronics:
- Individually addressable firing for each nozzle
- 2048 deep jet nozzles contained within each printhead
- Precisely located silicon jet nozzles
- Selective firing for high-resolution single-pass output
- Manufactured at Fujifilm Dimatix Silicon Valley facility
Advanced fluid management system ensures optimal performance:
- Ink travels down one channel through the filter
- Fluid passes across and through the silicon die
- Continuous recirculation back up the output channel
- Temperature and degassing control of the fluid
- Prevents ink drying and clogging
High-performance driver chips provide precise control:
- Individual signals to each piezo acoustic pumping chamber
- Selective firing of each nozzle
- Virtually limitless printer width possibilities
- Robust material set for various fluid jetting selections
